From the artistRapture In this sculpture, Eichinger explores the nature of a committed and loving relationship. From its polished granite base rises a swirling abstract column meant to represent the individuals’ personal histories prior to their relationship. Emerging atop this spiraling pillar, facing back to back, are an intertwining man and woman. Rooted in their personal histories the couple passionately embraces, maintaining individuality and at the same time celebrating union.
