Danielle Anjou

Danielle Anjou was 15 years old when she knew that she wanted to be a sculptor. At age 36, after studying film at New York University and 14 years working as a print model in New York, she finally took a sculpting class in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

By the end of the eight-hour class, Danielle had sculpted a bust of a little boy. The instructor said that it was some of the best work she had seen in 36 years. Thereafter, sculpting became the love of her life. Her figurative bronze sculptures are shown internationally and are cherished in private collections worldwide.

Sculptor Danielle Anjou makes International Art history at The Louvre
Danielle Anjou was chosen as the first American figurative sculptor to represent the United States at the prestigious Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts at The Louvre. The featured sculpture was her Diver.

This is a unique honor, as an American sculptor has never been represented at the Paris institution throughout its history of more than 100 years.
