After a 45-year career as a sculptor, Holly Crocker Garcia has now transitioned to drawing. As with her sculpture, Holly’s goal in drawing is to portray the classical female form in all its beauty, elegance, and delicacy. She works in pastels on toned paper using chiaroscuro lighting. This is a technique used by the old masters with bright highlights and dark, moody shadows, bringing a three-dimensional, sculptural quality to her drawings.
