“Solitude” depicts a lone woman protecting herself from the wind and, symbolically, from the chaos of the world, as she finds a moment of peace and solitude. While the architecture looks like Greece, the scene is actually outside Prince Ranier’s palace in Monaco, overlooking the beautiful and vast Mediterranean.
